House of Yas Stunned at Paris Fashion Week
Yas Gonzalzez, our House designer, payed homage to her roots; Cuba, taking inspiration from the most iconic architecture, colors and culture, turning it into one extremely chic collection, entitled: Timeless Cuba.
Timeless Cuba collection, was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week 2019, at the legendary Ritz Paris Hotel. With Havana as the main source of inspiration, along with the elegant 1950s Era, the dresses, skirts, and sets are brought to life, as interpretations of art- each being a Masterpiece. Cue architectural treasures, such as; the Capitol, the Cathedral and the National Hotel, but also divine tile details from Yas’ grandmother’s home.
Vivid prints, elegant silhouettes and a stunning color palette compliments the hand-made, hand-painted and embroidered fabrics, in which is Yas’ and House of Yas’ signature, throughout the chic collection.
As models graced the runway in the opulent Ritz Paris Hotel, Cuban Jazz singer Leslie Cartaya, created a fiesta vibe with live music- capturing the spirit perfectly of Cuba, in the city of lights; Paris. Not only has Yas Gonzalez achieved a new milestone within her successful career, but also for making history, as the first Cuban fashion designer to showcase in Paris Fashion Week- setting the bar high for the coming future.
